1. Purpose
This Policy explains how Experts.vision receives and handles content or conduct reports, notices of allegedly illegal content, moderation decisions and review requests.
2. Principles
Experts.vision seeks to make decisions that are diligent, objective, proportionate, consistent, non-discriminatory and respectful of fundamental rights and applicable law.
3. What can be reported
Profiles, organisations, requests, pitches, messages, photographs, logos, ratings, links and other content or conduct connected with the Platform may be reported.
4. Grounds
These may include:
- impersonation or false information;
- an organisation created or claimed without authority;
- spam;
- fraud;
- harassment or threats;
- privacy or personal data;
- intellectual property;
- hate or unlawful discrimination;
- malware or phishing;
- allegedly illegal content;
- breach of the Community guidelines;
- or another reasonably explained ground.
5. How to report
The preferred mechanism is the “Report” button or form where available.
Reports may also be sent to:
privacy@experts.vision
Suggested subject: “Content report — Experts.vision”.
6. Notice of allegedly illegal content
Under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the mechanism must allow the notifier to provide:
a) a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the information is considered illegal;
b) a clear indication of its exact electronic location, for example a URL, profile identifier, organisation, request, pitch, message or other sufficient reference;
c) the notifier's name and email, except where the law permits or requires their omission;
d) a statement confirming a good-faith belief that the information and allegations in the notice are accurate and complete.
Additional documentation may be attached where available.
7. Rule-violation reports
Where a breach of Platform rules is reported without an allegation of illegality, the content or conduct must be identified and the reason explained.
8. Acknowledgement
Where the notifier provides contact details and applicable law requires it, Experts.vision will acknowledge receipt electronically without undue delay.
9. Assessment
Experts.vision may consider content, context, applicable law, Platform terms, affected rights, documentation, history, risk, urgency and other relevant circumstances.
10. Additional information
Where the report does not allow content to be located or the issue to be understood, additional information may be requested.
11. Possible decisions
Experts.vision may:
- take no action;
- request changes;
- remove content;
- restrict access or visibility;
- prevent interactions;
- remove verification;
- restrict features;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- terminate an account;
- transfer or freeze organisation administration;
- preserve necessary information;
- or take another proportionate measure.
12. Illegal content
A sufficiently precise and substantiated notice may provide knowledge of specific information for the purposes of applicable law.
Where appropriate, Experts.vision will act diligently to remove or disable access to illegal content.
13. Information to the notifier
Where contact details are available and legally appropriate, the notifier will be informed of the decision and, where applicable, review options.
14. Statement of reasons to the affected user
Where legally required, a decision may state:
Information will not be disclosed where prohibited or where disclosure could compromise investigations, security or third-party rights.
- the measure taken;
- scope and duration;
- principal facts and circumstances;
- whether a report was involved;
- whether automated means were used;
- the legal ground if content is considered illegal;
- the contractual provision or rule breached;
- and available review mechanisms.
15. Automation
Experts.vision may use automated systems to detect spam, anomalies, fraud or malware, apply technical limits, prioritise reports or assist moderation.
This does not necessarily mean the final decision is solely automated.
16. Review
Affected users may request review at:
privacy@experts.vision
Suggested subject: “Moderation review — Experts.vision”.
The request should identify the decision and explain why it is considered incorrect.
Experts.vision may confirm, amend or reverse the decision.
17. Urgent action
Immediate action may be taken in response to threats to life or safety, ongoing fraud, compromised accounts, malware, unauthorised access, serious privacy risk or significant imminent harm.
18. Serious criminal offences
Where required by law, Experts.vision will act on information giving rise to suspicions of criminal offences involving threats to life or safety, including notification of competent authorities where appropriate.
19. Authority orders
Experts.vision will comply with valid orders to act against illegal content and valid orders to provide information issued by competent authorities.
20. Evidence
Experts.vision may retain information required to document reports, justify decisions, handle complaints, detect abuse, defend rights and comply with legal obligations, in accordance with the Privacy policy.
