Terms of use

These Terms govern registration, access to and use of Experts.vision.

By creating an account or using a feature that requires acceptance of these Terms, the user confirms that they have read and accepted them.

They are supplemented by the Legal notice, Privacy policy, Cookie policy, Community guidelines, Moderation, reporting and complaints policy and Verification, reputation and matching policy.

Experts.vision facilitates contact between Experts and Requesters.

Experts may create profiles to present knowledge, experience, professional background and availability and respond to requests.

Requesters are journalists, media professionals, organisers, podcasters, company professionals and other authorised persons who may search for Experts, publish requests, receive pitches and manage potential collaborations.

Requesters may be linked to an organisation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Experts.vision is a technology provider and is not a talent agency, employer, media outlet, recruitment firm or party to agreements between users.

To register, a user must:

Where a user acts on behalf of an organisation, they must have the authority required for the actions they perform.

• be at least 18 years old;
• have sufficient legal capacity to accept these Terms;
• provide truthful and up-to-date information;
• keep their account secure;
• and use the service in accordance with applicable law.

Accounts are personal except for functions specifically designed for organisations.

Users are responsible for securing credentials and authentication mechanisms, keeping their email address current and reporting known unauthorised access.

Accounts may not be sold, rented, transferred or shared in a way that allows use by persons other than the authorised account holder.

Experts.vision may offer authentication by email, Google, Apple or other providers.

Use of an external provider may also be subject to that provider's terms.

7.1. Experts

Experts may add professional information, photographs, biographies, areas of expertise, languages, background, links, availability and other enabled data.

Experts are responsible for keeping published information accurate and current.

7.2. Requesters

Requesters may search for Experts, publish requests, receive pitches, contact users and use other functions enabled for their role.

These functions may only be used for legitimate professional purposes.

7.3. Organisations

An organisation may group one or more Requesters and have a name, domain, logo and other corporate information.

Experts.vision may require linked Requesters to use an email address belonging to the associated domain or apply other reasonable verification methods.

A matching domain helps verify affiliation but does not by itself prove legal authority to represent the organisation.

8.1. Initial Owner

The first user to create an organisation on Experts.vision will be designated as the initial owner (“Owner”) of that organisation within the Platform.

The Owner role is an administrative role within Experts.vision and does not, by itself, make the user the organisation's legal representative outside the Platform.

8.2. Mandatory declaration when creating an organisation

Before an organisation can be created, the prospective Owner must expressly tick a mandatory, unticked-by-default checkbox through which they:

The organisation cannot be created unless this declaration is made.

8.3. Evidence of acceptance

For contractual, security and evidentiary purposes, Experts.vision may record:

8.4. Responsibility of the creator

The initial Owner must not create an organisation if they lack sufficient capacity or authority.

If a person creates or claims an organisation without authorisation, Experts.vision may suspend access, remove the affiliation, transfer ownership, request further evidence or take other appropriate action.

8.5. Transfer of ownership

The Owner may transfer the Owner role to another authorised member where the Platform supports this function.

Experts.vision may also reassign ownership where justified, including:

Experts.vision may request reasonable evidence before making a transfer.

8.6. Member administration

The Owner and, where enabled, other administrators may manage members and certain permissions.

Administrators must act in accordance with their organisation's instructions and authority.

8.7. Existing organisations

If a user attempts to create an organisation that already exists on the Platform, Experts.vision may prevent duplication and offer an access-request or claim process.

8.8. Organisation disputes

Experts.vision may request documentation or evidence to address disputes concerning organisation ownership or administration.

Experts.vision is not required to adjudicate complex corporate disputes and may temporarily freeze certain changes while the parties establish their rights.

• declare that they have sufficient legal capacity to create the organisation on the Platform;
• declare that they have the necessary authority to create the organisation, link it to the stated domain and act as its initial Owner within Experts.vision;
• and declare that the organisation information provided is accurate and that they are entitled to use its name, domain, trademark and logo where supplied.
• the identity of the user creating the organisation;
• the organisation created;
• the version of the Terms accepted;
• the text or version of the authority declaration accepted;
• the date and time;
• and technical data reasonably necessary to evidence the action.
• a valid request from the organisation;
• a change in the Owner's duties;
• the Owner leaving the organisation;
• loss of access to the corporate domain;
• an inactive or deleted account;
• an ownership dispute;
• unauthorised creation;
• or the need to protect organisational continuity and security.

Certain Expert profiles may be public.

Public information may be accessible without signing in, appear in internal searches, be indexed by search engines and be shared by link.

Users should not publish information they do not wish to make public.

Experts.vision may verify certain information about Experts or organisations using user-supplied information, corporate email, public professional sources, documentation or other reasonable methods.

A verification badge confirms only that certain checks were performed. It does not certify a user's full professional history, replace official qualifications or licences, guarantee quality or constitute an endorsement by Mapnia.

Verification may be reviewed, suspended or withdrawn.

Requesters may publish requests for interviews, quotations, content, events, podcasts, research, consulting, advisory work or other legitimate professional purposes.

Requests must relate to a genuine need, reasonably describe their purpose, comply with the law and not be used for spam, disguised prospecting or indiscriminate data collection.

Experts may respond through pitches.

Pitches must be relevant and may not be used for spam, unrelated promotions or abusive automation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, pitches are not public.

A Requester may mark a pitch as accepted.

This may generate activity or reputation indicators, but:

Fees, deadlines, confidentiality, exclusivity, intellectual property, exploitation rights, tax, expenses and other terms must be agreed directly by the users involved.

• does not make Experts.vision a party to the collaboration;
• does not constitute engagement by Mapnia;
• does not guarantee completion;
• does not guarantee payment;
• and does not replace agreements between the parties.

Experts.vision may offer messaging.

A private conversation means access is technically limited to authorised users and to legitimate Mapnia access required to operate, protect or moderate the service.

It does not automatically create a confidentiality agreement between users.

Experts.vision may display accepted pitches, collaborations, ratings, verification, professional activity and other indicators.

These are informational indicators, not quality certifications.

Manipulation through fake accounts, fictitious collaborations or other artificial activity is prohibited.

Experts.vision may use automated systems to rank or recommend profiles, requests or opportunities based on criteria such as expertise, industry, topic, language, location, availability, preferences, requirements, activity and estimated relevance.

A result's inclusion or position is not a professional endorsement or guarantee.

Users retain the rights they legally hold in their content.

By submitting content, users grant Mapnia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to operating the Platform, including hosting, storage, technical copies, format adaptation, transmission, display to authorised recipients, public display where the user publishes publicly, internal indexing, security and moderation.

This licence does not transfer ownership to Mapnia.

Users represent that they hold the necessary rights and permissions.

Users submitting another person's personal data represent that they have a lawful basis and have complied with applicable duties.

Indiscriminate upload of contact lists or external databases is prohibited.

Experts.vision may allow users to block other users.

Blocking may restrict messages, pitches, receipt of pitches, invitations, interactions or visibility.

Users may not create additional accounts or use third parties to circumvent a block.

Users may not:

• impersonate people or organisations;
• falsify credentials, qualifications, job titles or experience;
• create organisations without authorisation;
• create fictitious requests;
• engage in fraud or deception;
• harass, threaten or intimidate;
• infringe intellectual property;
• disclose confidential information without authorisation;
• publish third-party personal data without a lawful basis;
• distribute malware or engage in phishing;
• access or attempt to access systems or accounts without authorisation;
• test vulnerabilities without permission;
• send spam;
• perform unauthorised scraping or bulk extraction;
• build parallel databases using Platform information;
• circumvent technical limits or user blocks;
• manipulate reputation, verification or metrics;
• create artificial activity;
• maliciously submit false reports;
• or use the service for unlawful activity.

Experts.vision may use human review and automated tools to prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security risks and violations.

It may issue warnings, remove or restrict content, reduce visibility or functionality, remove verification, temporarily suspend accounts or terminate accounts.

Measures will be proportionate to seriousness, recurrence, intent and risk.

Where legally required, reasons and available review mechanisms will be provided.

Any person may notify Experts.vision of content they consider illegal through the available electronic mechanisms.

Users may also report breaches of these Terms or Community guidelines.

The process is set out in the Moderation, reporting and complaints policy.

Experts.vision may act urgently where there is serious risk to users, third parties or security.

It will comply with valid orders and requests from competent authorities as required by law.

Each user is responsible for evaluating the other party before sharing confidential information, entering into contracts, making payments, travelling, attending events, giving interviews, purchasing services or entering other professional relationships.

Unless a specific feature expressly provides otherwise, Experts.vision does not determine or guarantee financial terms between users.

Fees, tax, invoicing and expenses must be agreed directly by the parties.

Experts.vision may offer free or paid plans.

Before a paid service is purchased, price, duration, renewal, features and other legally required information will be provided.

Experts.vision may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts for breach, fraud, impersonation, unauthorised organisation creation, security risk, repeated abuse, unlawful activity, manipulation or a competent authority request.

In serious or urgent situations, action may be immediate.

Users may request account deletion.

Termination does not remove obligations previously assumed towards other users.

Certain data may be retained in blocked form where required by law, needed for legal defence or supported by another valid legal basis.

Experts.vision may add, modify or remove features.

Permanent availability and error-free operation are not guaranteed.

To the extent permitted by law, Experts.vision does not guarantee that every profile is accurate, that verification covers all information, that an Expert is suitable for a specific purpose, that a request will receive pitches, that a pitch will be accepted, that a collaboration will be completed or that a user will make payment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Mapnia is not liable for private agreements between users or for breaches of contracts between users where Mapnia is not a party.

Experts.vision may amend these Terms due to legal, regulatory, technical, security or functional changes.

Material changes will be communicated where necessary and renewed acceptance may be required.

Experts.vision may retain evidence of the accepted version, date and time and technical data reasonably necessary to demonstrate acceptance.

These Terms are governed by Spanish law and directly applicable European Union law.

Mandatory consumer-protection rules will be respected where applicable.
